Promotion FAQ
This guide contains the answers to frequently asked questions about promotion configuration.
How do I configure a tiered order subtotal discount?
A tiered order subtotal discount is one where the more the customer spends, the better the discount they get. For example, your offer might be as follows:
- Get $10 off when you spend $100 or more.
- Get $25 off when you spend $200 or more.
- Get $40 off when you spend $300 or more.
You cannot configure this as a single discount with steps as Marketing Manager has no way to configure this. You must create this logical single discount as 3 actual discounts.
The steps are as follows:
- Create the 3 order subtotal discounts with the buy and receive details you want. The Receive (award) for each discount must be set to Order subtotal.
- Set the discount priorities to be descending by receive amount (i.e. 40, 25, 10). This means Enticify will try and apply the best discount first and then drop down.
Your discounts should end up in this priority order:
- Get $40 off when you spend $300 or more.
- Get $25 off when you spend $200 or more.
- Get $10 off when you spend $100 or more.
Enticify will only apply one Order subtotal discount per order (by default), so this will do what you want. If you prioritise correctly, the first and best discount will win and any subsequent order subtotal discounts will be ignored.
